Sock It To Me Monday: Return to the Black Hole Socks
Nothing much exciting here – got one sock done up to the end of the increases, almost there with the second. Then I can knit away for a bit!

Well, Shark Week 2020 has set sail without me. We don’t have cable, and the season is not for sale on Amazon, which is how we have watched it the last several years. Apparently it is available on several streaming services, but none that were practical for us to access. But that is OK! We… Continue reading My Own Private Shark Week
My Half the Knit Sky is done! The blue yarn is one of my precious skeins from gnarledpaw – it is Shawl for the Best fingering weight in the Devil in a Blue Dress colorway, and the white is Dye for Me happy feet shimmer from Plymouth Yarn. This is a fun knit – just… Continue reading FO Friday
First, a project that is going well – Half the Knit Sky progress I have the 6 rows of edging, binding off, and blocking, and it’s done! So that is what I’m doing. I’m doing my usual plain vanilla toe-up socks, but to his measurements and in plain… Continue reading Sock It To Me Monday: Black Hole Socks
Making decent progress on my Shelly Summer Top! I’m almost, but not quite, halfway done with the first side. It is a pretty easy knit – it’s just one of the variants of Feather and Fan, otherwise known as Old Shale, so it’s pretty straightforward. As you can probably see, the yarn is pooling a… Continue reading Shelly Top Update
My Half the Knit Sky shawl is coming along pretty well! There are about 40 – 50 rows left, though of course they are all long ones 🙂 I am really enjoying this project – just enough variety to keep it interesting, but it’s not insanely complicated.
They are done! I managed to use up pretty much all of both mini-skein sets, and quite a bit of the charcoal yarn, so that is a help to my sad attempts at stash reduction. They are reasonably festive, and I am pretty happy with how they turned out! They are my standard plain vanilla… Continue reading Sock It To Me Monday: Xmas in July Done!
