If you are looking for a little Halloween pattern to make, a couple of cute cowl patterns have recently come out – the Broom Riding Cowl (Etsy link) Alissa mentioned on HeadKnits, and the Cemetery Drive cowl (Etsy link, though it is also on Ravelry) Happy Spooky Knitting!
My felted slippers are done! These work up really fast, and are very cozy. My last pair fell apart in May, and it was already getting a bit warmer so I didn’t bother making another pair for summer. But now that it’s getting chilly again, time for more slippers! Here they are before felting –… Continue reading Sock It To Me Monday: Slippers are Socks if you Squint
I have been having a problem lately with where to put patterns and how to manage them, mainly due to where I normally knit. But I think I finally came up with a solution: Music stand! It’s totally adjustable for height and angle, I can put a magnet on it to mark my place. It… Continue reading Gear Hack
October 1st I’m going to put aside any regular projects I have going and just work on spooky knits. Going to give myself a little break before the next pair of socks. Time for some… Continue reading Sock It To Me Monday
Well, the Buttoned Wrap Skirt did not go as planned. The fabric wasn’t right, and basically, this yarn did not work with this pattern. Which is fine! It’s a nice pattern, and eventually I will find the yarn that will work for it. Maybe even the suggested yarn – who knows? And for now, this… Continue reading Try Again
Ok, maybe not quite exciting enough to justify the exclamation point, but I’m pretty glad to be getting toward the end of these things 🙂 I just started on the ribbing for the Black Hole socks, but at least it’s a start. A few more inches, and they are done!
My socks and skirt and progressing. There’s not much to show – they look mostly the same, there’s just more of them now. The skirt actually has a little bit of shaping to it, but its not very visible. So since there’s not much to talk about with the current WIPs, what’s next? I finally… Continue reading No FO
