It was a busy week this week, partially because of work and some house and personal tasks that needed to be done, but also because Tuesday was my birthday! Surprisingly I did not get any yarn or knitting-related items. However, I did get some birthday cash, which I converted into yarn and a couple knitting… Continue reading Birthday Week!
The mohair stripes scarf is moving along! It is all bunched up here, as there is a lot of this scarf! I have to admit that a short way into the pattern I lost track of which yarn was A,B,C, etc., as the pattern tells you to just assign a letter to each yarn in… Continue reading Mohair Stripes Progress
Somewhat oddly, this year I have not set myself any knitting goals. This year, I really need to focus on fitness, my weight, and some other wellness-related stuff. I have been getting regular exercise for about a month now. I got a Fitbit to help in tracking my activity, along with some other stuff. Getting… Continue reading Rare Non-Knitting Goal
I cast on a new project on Saturday – the It’s All Right mobius cowl. It is really more of a shoulder -width wrap than a cowl, but you could really wear it either way 🙂 The design is by Ellen Thomas, The Chilly Dog. Mom has it and is considering a fashion shoot with it, so I may get some daytime photos of it one of these days. The pattern is Odyssey Shawl by Joji… Continue reading Friday FO
I have been looking for an analog way to keep track of my knitting for a while. I have tried plain notebooks, bullet journals, and ring binders with a page protector pocket to keep each project in. None of them are entirely what I was looking for. So I started looking for knitting-specific journals. There… Continue reading Knitting Journal Roundup
The mohair stripes scarf is moving along pretty well! I haven’t had a lot of time to work on it over the last couple days, but it is really floofy yarn on big needles, so there is some gratifying progress anyway.
Just three more rows, then a picot bindoff that I suspect will take quite a while, but should turn out really pretty. Pattern is the Odyssey Shawl by Joji Locatelli How are your projects coming along?
