Turned the heels on DH’s socks! Now it’s just stockinette for a while and then a bit of ribbing, and done! I don’t know how much is going to get done on these this week, as I’ve decided to focus on my Fair Isle hat for the Confident Knitting club so I can get that… Continue reading Sock It To Me Monday
I’ve gotten in some work on my Bonbori shawl (Rav link) over the past week! And also finally took advantage of the natural light outdoors to get a better picture! I’m 8 rows away from the next increase and going into chart C. There are 4 charts, so slightly over half of the directions, but… Continue reading Bonbori Progress

I’m off of sleeve island! I finished the second sleeve this evening and even got a little bit of a start with the collar. As usual, please excuse the terrible indoor nighttime photography 🙂 What are you working on these days, and how is it going?

Our kits arrived in short order, and we got into them! The top two yarns are Remix Light and Summer Sesame, the middle… Continue reading Yarn Tasting #2
I did buy the needles, and what a difference it has made! So much easier to knit this thing without worrying about the stitches falling off the needle ends! My LYS came to the rescue and had the right size needles for both my project and my Moms – double win!
I’ve been making progress on my Bonbori wrap from Olga Buraya-Kefelian (Rav link). I’m almost done with the second section of four. Each section expands a bit from the previous, with the same number of bubbles per row, but each bubble getting a little bigger. So by the end the bubbles are almost rectangles rather… Continue reading Thursday ThWIP
In honor of Star Wars day today, I cast on a 4th project on top of the three that are already in the works. This month’s project is the Variance hat, and the technique is catching long floats in Fair Isle work. The project photo you see there is the Designer’s Choice yarn colors –… Continue reading May Confident Knitting Project
