Forest Weave Done!

As usual, please excuse the terrible indoor nighttime lighting. But it’s done! I’m glad to have it finished by the end of the year – I have big knitting plans for next year, and would like to start fresh.

I just got the second sleeve done today and sewed the side seams, then chucked it in the washer and dryer. The yarn is 100% linen, so it is pretty stiff. The washing and drying has relaxed it a bit, but there is a ways to go before it is particularly relaxed.

Still, though – very happy with how it turned out! The pattern is Forest Weave by DanDoh and the yarn is Fibra Natura Flax – this color is Mineral.

How are your projects going? Have anything you’re trying to get done by the end of the year?

  1. Did you make it larger than needed because you intended to tumble dry it…I think my linen cardigan is too snug to risk it shrinking, especially as I’m now 5lb heavier than when I finished it! I love the colour of yarn you’ve used here, I look forward to seeing it on in the summer, so please share a pic then. 😀

  2. I love it. The whole time you were knitting it I had been picturing the cables going the other way, and wow is it much prettier the right way. I am hoping to pick up my Everyday Shawl before the end of the decade. I won’t get it finished before 2020, but I would like to be making progress on it by then.
