Instead of finishing any of the other things I have going (blocking my crescent shawl, Forest Weave, Find Your Fade, starting my Year of Techniques socks) today I decided instead to cast on the first clue of Casapinka’s Perfect Blend MKAL. It’s a boomerang shaped shawl, which is pretty evident right from the start.

The yarn is from Space Cadet. Last year my DH got my a subscription to their never-ending gradient mini-club. I have not used much of it at all – but for this project I am using three month’s worth! The general color progression for the project will be blue through purple to pink, and then if I was reading her schematic right, it will go back to blue again. Not sure on that, but that was how it looked. But of course, it’s a mystery!
Ohhhh, so pretty!! And who needs to finish things we start? We are the boss of our knitting. Maybe?

It looks great so far. Sometimes the best thing to do when you have lots of knitting that needs attention is to start another project.
