My flowers have mostly been coming along pretty well this year! We did have one fatality – we drowned a petunia we had in a pot on our porch, which was a shame. Otherwise, all is well ๐

All the hanging baskets have filled in really nicely!

The carnations and lobelias (?) keep on blooming ๐

And the big bunch of pink and yellow (sorry – no idea what these are at all) are doing great as well!
We also just took an old cracked birdbath that we were going to throw out and planted the bowl full as well. I was a little on the fence about whether it was trashy or not, but it is actually looking pretty nice!
In other news, our heat finally broke, and we were back to 70 today and high 50’s tonight – perfect! Roughly half the state is still on fire, so we still have a lot of smoke going on. There is rain in the forecast for later this week though, so hopefully that will help the situation!
How’s the weather in your parts?
I wish Iโd been organised and had planted my seeds for my pots, ah well itโs not like we have summer weather to sit out and enjoy it. Yesterday the town I live in has had flooding on the streets and in some of the homes and today we have thunderstorms and heavy rain forecast. Iโm so grateful we live up on the hill above the town centre. Hope some rain puts out the fires you have over there.

Oh my gosh! Hope the flooding subsides quickly and your weather dries out! And hope you get a little more summer in your summer!

Up to the high 80’s today, Humidity 75%!!! That’s my weather today, which makes me think moving to Alaska is a good idea, but Hubster hates cold. He plans to retire in Florida, ick!

The pink and yellow flowers look like zinnia to me but I could be wrong. Just a guess.
Our temps here this week are between 109 and 112. Living in the desert is not for sissies. We are praying for the monsoons to hurry up and get here so we can have some rain. Of.course that means humidity which increases our heat index and makes it very tough to be outside for any length of time. And then with the monsoons come the dust storms too. So much fun living in a desert region. LOL

Your flowers are lovely! Ours arenโt doing quite as well.
Itโs been hot here, mostly 80โs but a couple of 90โs. Today is overcast and we are promised rain and thunderstorms through the night.

Your flowers look wonderful. Mine are all looking like I haven’t watered them all week. It’s in the 80s here, but the humidity is gone for the moment so it feels lovely.

So glad at least your humidity is gone – that really does help! Thanks – I am pretty happy with them this year ๐
