My Ixchel sweater is coming along pretty well!
I have about 25 rows left for the body, and then ribbing. Toward the bottom, where I am now, the stars start to thin out, and there are a lot of rows with 12 or more stitches between single gold stitches. So I decided to go back and duplicate stitch those on to save a bit on the gold. That does make the knitting go faster, as I have been having up to 6 rows at a time of just the blue. I suspect I will be sorry when it is time to do the stitching, but I’ll come to that later!
In other news, I am maybe 2 or 3 rows away from finishing my tuck stitch example cowl (started in Nancy Marchant’s class last month).
One of the great things about tuck stitches is that most of them look just as good on both sides. These patterns definitely fit that category. The middle section is a variant on the pattern of the other two that changes color dominance. So that has been interesting to see at work. 🙂 For this one I should have a finished project to show you soon. The sweater will likely be a little while yet 🙂
I do apologize for this pictures – they are horrible, but it’s late and all I have a glaring indoor lights. Better ones later!
