Sorry for the long radio silence. I was on a long-ish vacation to Wisconsin, which I’ll talk about more later this week. But while I was gone, I did manage to get a project finished – a pair of socks for my DH. I didn’t really use a pattern – just a plain vanilla sock… Continue reading I’m Back – and So Is My Sock Model
Got in a little knitting on DH’s new socks this past week! They are a pretty straightforward knit – my usual recipe. The yarn is some Cloudborn sock yarn, which is actually pretty nice. Do you have any socks on the needles? If so, how are they going?
I just got a start on some socks for my DH over the weekend – it’s nice to have something completely plain to work on again! I am using my usual toe-up sock recipe, so these should go reasonably quickly. If you are a sock knitter, do you prefer toe-up or top-down, or are you… Continue reading Sock It To Me Monday: More Socks for DH
My Fright Night socks are done! They turned out pretty well, and I’m thrilled to have them done in time for Halloween 🙂 The stitching is a little loose in the colorwork section, but I suspect that will even out once they are blocked.

Making some progress with DH’s socks The other two projects are also coming along – will hopefully have something to show on them over the next couple of days 🙂 How did your Monday go?
Still working on the Elizabeth Montague socks from KDD’s Bluestocking club. It’s actually a pretty quick and fun knit, but I’ve been trying to focus on Bonbori so I can get done with the darn thing! Anyway. EM socks are coming along – the heels are turned! This pattern uses a heel that I had… Continue reading Sock It To Me Monday
Well, it had to happen sometime. I have never actually worn out any of my handknit socks – until today. One of my Heart of Sharkness socks wore right through! I didn’t notice until I went to wash them today and saw this. I thought about trying to darn them, but it’s a pretty broad… Continue reading Finally Lost One
First thing first – my Haunted socks are done! The original intent was to make these much longer socks – maybe even knee length. But in the end I just couldn’t face making them any longer. Well, that just means I have pretty much of this yarn leftover, which will be pretty great for something!… Continue reading Sock It To Me Monday: Haunted and Iceland
