Boy, it’s been a long time since I had one of these to report! However, we are going on a brief trip this weekend and early next week, and I need something travel friendly to work on. Hence, socks!
Finally getting started on this pair for DH! No pattern for these, just my usual generic method. The yarn is Lang Yarns HoroscopeOne Twin Silk in the Gemini colorway. I’m close to done with this toe, so once this is on the circulars, I’ll get the other one done, and will be ready to roll!

I love that gray yarn and your stitches look so perfect. I have learning how to make socks on my to do list someday and then I can do a “sock it to me Monday” someday too 🙂

These look great! The yarn seems perfect for socks.
(Though all these pictures of socks on DPNs makes me miss using them… my current socks are on a magic loop.)

Thank you! I just do the toes up to where I stop decreasing on dpns, after that I use 2 circulars. I keep meaning to try doing them one at a time, but I’m a little afraid to – pretty sure that will result in a bunch of single socks with no partners!

That does make sense too! I only knit socks 2 at a time once, and it didn’t work for me.

There really are! I remember liking DPNs a lot when I was starting out knitting socks, but then when I upgraded my needles I went with circs only, and so I just have inexpensive DPNs now that I don’t like working with. (So I splurged and bought myself a fancy pair. My next socks will be knit on those, probably.)

I splurged for some Signature ones. I’ve liked the way they feel when I picked up friends’ needles, but they’re pricy so I never bought myself any before.

I’m hoping I like them as much as I think I will. I definitely wanted to get a set with nice pointy tips (which these have).

The stilettos are super pointy! I had a few pairs/sets, and loved them. But they got to be too hard on my hands.

I can see that. I’ve been gravitating toward pointy lace tips on as many needles as possible, so I hope that these are exactly what I’m looking for. We’ll see! I have to finish my current sock project, first. 😉
