Sorry for the long radio silence – it was just kind of a nutty week. Nothing bad going on, just busy with various errands and chores in the evenings. We did also do a fun thing this week – we went to the AK State Fair! I didn’t do well with getting pictures of most of it. A lot of the things are the same from year to year, so I didn’t bother with much. Except for this craft project that won a ribbon in the modeling category:

This attraction:

Also I ate some cheese curds.
In other news, I did get some knitting done! The Arrowhead cardigan (Ravelry link) yarn colors do work pretty well, so that is a relief.

It is a medium contrast rather than high contrast, but you can see the pattern and I like the way they look together. The Lustrous shawl (Ravelry link) is also moving along. I think I am about halfway with that, so I may focus on it a bit to get it done.

The reversible cable technique is working out pretty well!
I’m impress with your reversible cables.

I also like the colors on the arrowhead cardi. Subtle but still noticeable. That shawl is so pretty. But than anything with a cable has my heart.

The shawl with that yarn is just perfect. I love how it is working up. I am a big fan of your cardigan too. I like those colors together. No pictures of huge vegetables this year?

Thank you! I am really happy with both projects too π No huge vegetables – they weren’t out yet when we got there. I’m sad to miss it, but there will be pictures in the paper, so I can live with it π Do you guys go to your state fair?

I feel like Iβve really missed out by never going to a state fair! Seems like there are someβ¦ interesting things there!

I suspect ours are a little more …interesting… than most others π But they are fun! 80’s bands, delicious but terrible food, crafts, agricultural displays, and so much more!

Haha those all sound like things I’d get a big kick out of!

Your knitting looks yummy and I sure miss going to state fairs – used to go to the Washington State one which was always awesome and I liked seeing the livestock as well as the quilts and home related stuff!

Zorak can you help me! Can you believe there isnβt a praying mantis emoji? Who do we petition to have our favorite creatures made into emojis? Your cardigan is looking great. You are really making progress!

LOL! Amazing how many mantises show up when you are looking for them π We should definitely look into who we request new emojis from! Thank you – I’m trying to get a bit done as there may be a new project starting next week. Trying to talk myself down – we’ll see how that goes.
