I started a new project today, the Arrowhead Cardigan (Ravelry link) by Anna Cohen.

The main color yarn is Dream in Color Classy in the Peacock Shadow colorway, and the contrast color is Malabrigo Rios in the Solis colorway. At least I think so. I’m a little concerned that there may not be enough contrast, so I’m going to knit a few rows to make sure. In the black and white view, they are a dark and a medium value, so not high contrast, but there’s some. There is another option for the contrast color in my stash if this combination doesn’t work out. Shouldn’t I have just done a swatch to test it out? Yes, but I didn’t think of that until I was halfway through the first colorwork row. So I may have to tink back a couple rows, but we shall see.
When in doubt on your projects, do you usually forge ahead, or backtrack?
Forge ahead. Yelling βCharge!β

I hope it works out. These colors are luscious. For me, I guess I have done both of these in dealing with project not going well. It depends on what is wrong, how far along I am in the knitting and how important the project is to me.

It is often complicated figuring out which to do π

What a lovely pattern you have chosen. I do like the colors you have chosen. Hopefully they work put ok together. I always forge ahead and then rip it out if it doesn’t please me.

I usually keep going, trying to ignore that little voice. And then the little voice wins out, and itβs a trip to the frog poind!

Wow, that is a beautiful pattern and beautiful yarn. I donβt think a low contrast would be the worst thing in the world with this sweater, though doing all that colorwork you want to see it!
