The Haunted socks continue to haunt me, as is their wont 🙂 They are coming along pretty well, for all my complaining. Just a few more inches of straight knitting up the legs, then a bit of ribbing and done! I am hoping to have them done at some point this week, but we shall see. This week I am getting back to my Simple Straight Skirt and also starting some felted slippers for my brother and SIL. But these will be good to alternate in with those projects to keep changing up needle sizes.
I can’t believe I’m saying this but I love the speckles on this yarn.

Maybe because they are a little more on the subtle side? I like them too 🙂

They will be done in no time. Fortunately, as we discussed before, they will look wonderful at any time of the year.
Remind me again. You do a toe up. What cast on do you use?

I usually use Turkish or figure 8 cast on. Occasionally I will do a provisional cast on short row toe, but the would normally be when I am doing a contrasting toe.

I have only tried the provisional cast on and I found it awkward. I will try the other two next. I like the idea of toe-up so I can knit until I run out of yarn!

That’s one of the reasons I like that method. I love that there are so many ways to make socks, and everyone has their preferences! It makes something that people often think is so simplistic actually something you can learn about basically forever.

These remind me of jack-o-lanterns out in spooky night.
