Thankful Thursday

Starting this week with thanks for the blog buddies who started this chain of thankfulness – this is a great exercise in thinking about all the good things in my life. Some other things I’m thankful for today:

  • Social media. I know there’s a lot not to like about social media. But what is good about it is that it lets me stay at least somewhat in touch with lots of people – friends and family members both – that would be completely gone from my life otherwise. Also, sometimes you can find humorous memes there ๐Ÿ˜‰
  • The little uptick of niceness out there with the holidays coming. Not everyone, and not all the time, but it’s there!
  • Hot apple cider, hot chocolate, and just hot beverages in general. They are the best things to drink while looking out the window at a cold, snowy outside ๐Ÿ™‚
  • Winter is a little slower to get to us this year. I love winter – just not quite yet.

Hope your day and your week are filled up with blessings!

  1. What a inspiring post! It makes me feel grateful for the little things as well. I have stayed away from social media for a while but now Iโ€™m quite thankful that I can connect with many people. Iโ€™m using it daily xx

  2. I think that’s one of the only times I have ever seen someone write that they are thankful for social media, yet most of us use it in one way or another. I follow a lot of runners on Twitter and they are a positive, encouraging bunch who always lift my spirits!

  3. I’m not much of a hot beverage drinker, but hot chocolate sounds heavenly right now! We are watching our daughter’s Husky which means we have to take her out on a leash. Ours dogs stay in our yard so we don’t have to go out on cold winter nights!!! LOL
