Progress continues on all fronts, if a little slowed down because I let myself get spread too thin again!  For the moment, I have decided that DH’s slippers will be the weeknight project, because short bursts of knitting time will work fine for them, Twinkle is the workday lunch project for similar reasons, and Glenesk will be the weekend project.  That will shift somewhat as I get things done, but for now it’s working.

Progress on Glenesk is slow-ish, because I do have to pay attention somewhat and also because it is done bottom up in the round.  The bad thing about this construction method is immediate progress is slow compared to sweaters done in pieces, which is how I have done the majority of my sweaters.  The good thing is when you’re done with the main body, you are pretty darn close to done.  Comparatively speaking, the sleeves are no big deal, and then the neck/button band is even less of a big deal.  Even so, I’m about a quarter of the way through the first pattern repeat.  I am happy with it so far!

The use of garter for the bottom band as opposed to the more usual ribbing is a kind of nifty touch!

And here is Twinkle.  I just weighed the gradient yarn, and by the scale I am a little over halfway done with this scarf.

It is a very simple pattern once you get the hang of it, but it’s neat seeing how the gradient background changes the look of the aqua and pink.  Down at the bottom where it is somewhat blocked you can see how the pattern is going to look once it is all done.  It is much more crinkled up at the work end.

No pictures of DH’s slippers at the moment, because they are still in the clown shoe stage.  When they are done maybe I will do a roundup with his and Mom’s and mine 🙂
