I cannot believe a whole week has gone by! It’s been busy, but looking back I can’t really say what I was busy with. I can say I was partially busy with knitting. Still on the first sleeve of my Powdermill, but making progress!

Also I started a smaller second project, the Cetraria Islandica cowl. Helene Magnusson (The Icelandic Knitter) is doing a KAL of patterns from past yarn club. I thought I would take this opportunity to use one of the many, many kits I have bought from her over the years. I’m about 1/3 of the way done at this point.

It’s coming along pretty well, and it’s nice to have this very different project and yarn to work on. I’m hoping to have both of these projects done by the end of the year, as I have big plans for the new year!
What are you working on these days, and how is it going?
How does the Icelandic yarn feel? It looks scratchy.

It’s a little rough. I don’t think I would wear it next to skin, but it will be cozy as an outer layer!

The Powdermill is fascinating and so intricate!, but I adore the colors in the cowl! I particularly like the solid main color with the variagated secondary and the pattern stitch is amazing.

That Powdermill is going to be a stunner when it’s done; I love it!
Currently working on 2 brioche + pooling projects, but only one is cooperating at the moment. Which is fine because I’m a fairly monogamous knitter!

These are both lovely! I’m just finishing up some gift knitting, but should be done with all of it this weekend at the latest. Then it’s just knitting for me for a while!
