I started a pair of socks for DH over the weekend.

I don’t know why the picture is posting sideway, but you get the idea. Socks!
I’m not using a pattern, just my usual toe-up, two-at-a time method. The yarn is Lang yarns Horoscope One Twin Silk in the Aquarius colorway. I made him a pair in this same yarn (different colorway) around this time last year, so it’s sort of a tradition now! However, I don’t have any more of this yarn, so I guess I should get some over the next year 🙂
OK, fellow 2 @ a time, toe up sock knitter…what type of heel will you use?

(Fist bump!) I use a short row heel. How about you?

Well, I have done the Fish Lips Kiss heel in the past, as well as short rows, but I am always interested in trying new techniques. I have the instructions for a toe-up mini flap and gusset heel that I have been meaning to try. I also read about another technique from a fellow blogger. I can’t recall the name, but I will go back and look at her posts. Stay tuned…

Have you ever heard of this technique? I think I am going to give it a go.

I haven’t heard of it, but it looks pretty cool! I love that it’s mostly worked in the round and doesn’t make self-striping yarns go cattywampus 🙂
