With Back to the Fuchsia done, I am focusing on my Halloween cats sweater. I’m making good progress, especially because I’m at the plain stockinette part!

I decided I am going to do a colorwork band along the bottom as well, and then on to sleeve island!
How about you? What are you working on, and how is it going?
Your cats look great! A colorwork band at the bottom sounds like a great idea—is that part of the pattern for this one, or are you adding it?
I’m getting ready to start my new sweater project, but haven’t wound the yarn yet. I’m hoping to get to that soon so I can swatch and then start knitting in earnest this weekend.

Thank you! Colorwork at the bottom is something I’m adding.
Awesome – looking forward to seeing more about your new sweater project!

It sounds like such a perfect addition for the sweater that I’m surprised it’s not included as an option in the pattern.

I did it on my pumpkin version of the sweater the other year and really liked it. I think it adds a little balance to the design.

It really seems like that kind of balance is needed. If not a row a cats, then at least some kind of colorwork stripe to carry the theme down. Also along the sleeve cuffs.

I agree. I was just going to reverse the other colorwork bands, but not the cats. I’m kind of short, and the sweater will be as well. So I thought just a smaller band would take care of it.

It sounds like it will work quite well!

Oh hello cat friends!
Mostly working on my Fauxchet Jumper but have done a few rows of my second Wingspan too. Both are gifts and there’s a deadline for Wingspan so I can’t let it sit dormant for too long!

The deadlines do keep things moving along!

I can see this flying off the needles in time for Halloween month. I’ve cast on a cowl so that’s keeping me busy whilst I think what jumper or cardigan to knit next.

Wow that looks amazing!
I bought some cool variegated cotton yarn on impulse and I am toying with idea of learning to knit dishcloths but using more complicated patterns than stockinette, etc. Thinking of dipping my toe into slightly more advanced knitting.

Very cool! Looking forward to seeing what you make! There are log cabin washcloth patterns – that might be fun 🙂
