We are finally getting around to exploring Wisconsin a bit more. Today we took a drive around Lake Winnebago. Our new home town is right next to the lake, and we’ve driven along the west coast of it a few times, but hadn’t explored the eastern shore yet. The western side of Lake Winnebago is pretty built up, with Oshkosh, Neenah and Appleton. The eastern side has a lot of farmland, very small towns, and just a ton of giant windmills. (The modern ones, not the old timey ones.)
The highlight of our drive was a stop at LaClare Creamery. Goat farm, cheese makers, and fabulous place to visit! We ate in their cafe, visited the goats, and shopped in their cheese and treat shop. They also have a greenhouse, but that is for another day.

For the rest of the trip I was just enjoying the scenery. Next time we will stop more and take some pictures of the lake 🙂
Oh hello…baby goat snuggles…sign me up. Looks a great place.

Yup! I’ve always liked cheese, but never lived in a place where there was so much of it around. It’s everywhere!

Oshkosh, Neenah and Appleton sound like characters in a children’s book!
Did you snuggle any goats, or is that for another time?

LOL! They do sound like characters! Sadly, there was no availability for the goat snuggling this time. Next time I’m reserving a spot!
