After a very long pause, my Just Beachy shawl is finished!
Here it is right after I cast off, so not blocked or finished in any way
This thing is BIG. So here it is once it was blocked. My Mom very kindly wove the ends in for me, and in exchange I started a pair of socks for her.
The pattern is Just Beachy by Lisa K. Ross. (Ravelry link) The yarn is from Fiber Optic Yarns. The gradient is Coastal Combo, and I think the MC is Oatmeal or something along those lines. I started knitting it along with an MKAL is September 2021, the put it aside for Halloween knitting later that month. I picked it back up in December 2022 and just finished it. It was a long wait, but it’s done now and I love it!

What a wonderful pattern. It looks like two shawls sewn together. Your colors look so good. Does wearing it help you forget that it’s still Winter?

It basically is – you knit two triangle shawls and then join them together. Each of the triangles also has some extra stripes added on to the edge that doesn’t get connected.

Can you lay it out so we can see the whole shape? It looks rectangular! And it also looks like it would fit a king-sized bed!!

It’s sort of a parallelogram. The short sides are angled. I will try to find a place to lay it out
