With the Just Beachy shawl done, I finally got to start the first new shawl of the year and also got back to making a little progress on my Powdermill. Powdermill (Ravelry link) is coming along! I haven’t gotten too far yet, but I’ve been focusing on finishing Just Beachy for the last week. So… Continue reading Wednesday WIPs
After a very long pause, my Just Beachy shawl is finished! Here it is right after I cast off, so not blocked or finished in any way This thing is BIG. So here it is once it was blocked. My Mom very kindly wove the ends in for me, and in exchange I started a… Continue reading Just Beachy is Done!
It’s been a while again since I posted last – I keep meaning to post much more regularly but life is getting away from me right now. Oh well, I’ll just keep trying! In the meantime, I now have TWO WIPs on my needles! Almost back up to normal count but not quite there yet.… Continue reading Wednesday WIPs
So just like that, I finished section 3, then section 4, and am onto section 5! For anyone currently knitting a Vertices Unite or thinking about it, Sections 1 (dark and medium blue stripes on the left) and 3 (orange) are huge and a little disheartening. Sorry for the long break – life got a little crazy. Also, I was only working on one project so I could get it finished, and it took basically forever, so it didn’t feel like there was much progress to report. However, finally it is done! The pattern is Lustrous Shawl by Noma Ndlovu, and… Continue reading Finally an FO

However, it is knitting up very cushy and warm. The first section was Leicester Longwool, the second is Jacob. The Leicester… Continue reading Odyssey Progress
I got this finished yesterday and blocked overnight. It turned out just lovely! I was hoping for a sunny day for good photos, but it was a pretty cloudy day out, so this is the best light available. Which I guess is appropriate for this shawl, though we didn’t get any rainbows today. Anchorage skies… Continue reading Oregon Sky Done!
Nothing finished to report today. I made some progress on my skirt, but it doesn’t look much different. The lace panel I was working on in my Oregon Sky is done, and am just making a start on the next rainbow band Tomorrow should be a mostly lazy day – hopefully more to report tomorrow… Continue reading No FO
My Half the Knit Sky shawl is coming along pretty well! There are about 40 – 50 rows left, though of course they are all long ones 🙂 I am really enjoying this project – just enough variety to keep it interesting, but it’s not insanely complicated.
