My Halloween countdown yarn continues to be full of fun surprises 🙂

The latest 8 mini-skeins of 31 Days of Haunted America from Fangirl Fibers are based on (l-r) Whaley House in San Diego, CA; Bodie, CA; The Biltmore Estate, Asheville SC; Oxford Saloon, Snohomish WA; Beast of Bray Road, Elkhorn WI; Eastern State Penitentiary, Philadelphia PA; Red Onion Saloon, Skagway AK; RMS Queen Mary, Long Beach CA.

As a side note, Dave (DH) and I went to Eastern State Penitentiary a few years ago – it was pretty good! It was definitely spooky, though we didn’t see anything. But it also has a really interesting history – if you are interested in early American prison history ( and I know you are!), it’s definitely worth a visit for that alone.

Week three of my cryptid weekly project countdown, also from Fangirl Fibers, is a Bigfoot cowl kit!

There is a pattern for a cowl that goes with the yarn, which you can knit while drinking your Bigfoot tea!
