Knitter’s Bookshelf: Knit Fold Pleat Repeat

Nora Gaughan’s new book is mainly a technique book that includes patterns that use the technique in question. As you may have guessed from the title, this one is about incorporating folds and pleats in your knitting to give garments, accessories, and home goods an interesting twist.

The techniques and patterns start off very basic and straighforward

Then progress to a little more challenging

And finally go on to things are fairly complex.

All the techniques are well explained, and the patterns are pretty detailed. There are some really intriguing techniques and patterns included, and I plan to get into them – someday! For now, I’ll just enjoy reading and looking at the project pictures 🙂

Have you checked out any good knitting books lately? Or really any good books at all? As always, let me know in the comments!

  1. I like the idea of the skirt but I don’t wear skirts, but if I went places that would be tempting. I’m going to take a break from knitting for a bit and pick up my Inkle loom book and play with that I think.
