2021 in Review

2021 was a really mixed year for me. I did do a reasonable amount of making:
– 7 shawls
– 6 pairs of socks
– 6 cowls
– 2 sweaters
– 2 pairs of mitts
– 1 scarf
– 1 hat

Not a terrible amount to get done, but also not stellar. I tried yarn tastings by mail and Zoom, which was fun. I also got to take a few classes through Vogue Knitting Live and Knit Stars and learned some new techniques, which I always love. And finally I got to visit some new yarn shops, which I also love to do.

The best thing about this year was the time I got to spend with my wonderful knitting blog friends! I have met some wonderful people through this blog, and spending time with you, whether meeting online or chatting through our blogs themselves has been one of the high points of last year. Here’s hoping for more time with friends, more knitting, and blogging as well in 2022!

  1. It’s wonderful to meet crafting blogging friends here too. It’s good to see what people are making, to be inspired, and to be encouraged or helped with projects. I have taken great comfort at times – online in times when meeting local friends in person just hasn’t been possible too often during the pandemic. Well done with all your projects in 2021 – I am now going to tot up my list – though it may be shorter, some half done, some abandonned and some not admitted to!

  2. I think you accomplished quite a bit for a years time. The sweaters and shawls alone would have taken me almost a year to do. It is nice to read other blogs. And it is germ free lol. Looking forward to seeing what you do this year.
