Throwback is done! This one is hard to get good pictures of – sunlight completely blew the photos out, and indoors wasn’t much better. Probably the best picture of it that captures the colors the best is here. But it is finished!
I did do a few modifications. I added buttons and buttonholes, which the original didn’t call for. And also I added pockets, which are not part of the original. They are just plain patch pockets, which I backstitched on with the main color yarn.
The pattern is The Throwback by Andrea Mowry. The main yarn is Cascade Yarns Highland Duo in black. The accent color yarns are all Cascade 220. The purple is 8762 – Deep Lavender, the green is 8910 – Citron, and the blue is 9686 – Cockatoo, which is discontinued. However, they do have a lot of colors that would be close. My idea with this colorway was to echo the northern lights, which is does do reasonably well. I am very happy with how this turned out 🙂

I think it looks fabulous, so many buttons, I haven’t braved adding a button band to anything yet.

Thanks! It worked out OK! It may possibly be too many buttons, but it doesn’t feel heavy or awkward when I put it on, so I suspect it’s fine 🙂
