Starting a pair of socks for the DH!

The yarn isn’t actually self-striping, it’s just coming out that way right now. I think once they get to their final stitch count it will be mostly tan with black stripes and probably some pooling.
This yarn was from a sock club I was in a few years ago, and I honestly debated getting rid of it several times, as it isn’t a color I would wear. Then DH requested socks, so we went through my sock yarns and he picked this skein out. Although he is not big on colors other than black and gray and navy blue, this yarn was deemed OK, as it is looks like a Carhartt jacket he has. Fair enough 🙂
Are you working on some socks? If so, how are they going?
I am also going to cast on some socks for Bob this week. He picked out some green that I originally bought to make socks for him, so that worked out!

It does resemble a Carhartt jacket. It will be fun to see how the colors knit up.

I don’t have any socks on the needles. I’m trying to get my sleeves done before I cast on a sock. I don’t think it will really happen.

I like it. I finished the heel flap and the heel turn. The gussets have been picked up and read for decreasing.
