Like Halloween? Or spiders? Want to participate in a fun KAL that will get you sweater-ready for this fall?

Sarah of mildlygranola and I will be making Andi Satterlund’s Arachne sweater next month, and you are welcome to knit along with us! There are plenty of options for modifying this sweater – a few brave souls have steeked it and made it a cardigan, others have lengthened the body or the sleeves, and of course the color options are wide open.
We plan to get started in early April and knit until we are done! Sarah had the great idea to have a regular weekday to post on progress, though of course Q&A and discussion could happen anytime. As an added incentive, I will send a set of Halloween stitch markers to all finishers!
I’ve got my yarn already

I’m doing mine in Knit Pick’s Galileo – using Nebula (the deep purple) for the main color, and Pearl for the webbing. I did also get a skein of their kid mohair Aloft in white which I might be carrying along with the webbing. Haven’t decided on that yet, so we shall see.
More details as we get closer!
Do you dare to join us? MUAHAHAHAHA!
So tempting:) It’s a great sweater! I’ll be cheering you both on for sure:)

I will look at the projects on Ravelry and check out my stash for appropriate yarn choices. That is all I can commit to 🙂

I’m also very tempted. I will check out the pattern at least. I can’t imagine I will be able to finish it in a month though.

Oh, I don’t think we will either. Probably it will go a couple months. The plan is to go until we are done 🙂

I hope you join us! I don’t think I’ll be done with mine until September. I’m going to steek mine, and it will take me a good four months to work up the courage to do it.

I am so excited to get started! I really need to cast on a practice sweater so I can steek something I’m less excited about before I cut my beautiful spider sweater.

That’s a good idea! I know you will do it no problem, but trying it on something a little lower-stakes is good for confidence building.
