This skein from the Leicester Longwool sheep breed, and specifically from the LanaRosa Sheep and Cattle Company farm. The yarn feels very rich and has a lovely drapey feeling even in the skein like this. It is very naturally shiny, and feels pretty soft. This breed has, as their name implies, longish curly locks of wool that are very lustrous and full. The yarn is not labeled with the weight, but it looks to be like a DK or sport weight probably – thereabouts. It’s about 250 yards, so possibly a cushy cowl or hat – unless I can think of something clever 🙂
