As I mentioned last month, my DH got me a tea-of-the-month club subscription from Harney & Sons for Christmas last year. Yesterday I got my first regular shipment!

I did have concerns as to whether tea was going to be coming in huge shipments such that I would not be able to drink it all. But this is a tin of 20 tea bags, or sachets, as H&S likes to call them. That is a totally reasonable amount to drink over the course of a month.
It is an herbal tea, as you can see here. I try to avoid caffeine after noon, so I do drink a lot of herbal tea, so was glad to see some in the mix. It was produced in conjunction with the Chopra Center, and claims to be organic. Indeed, the word “organic” appears before each and every ingredient on the list, so it is totally, 100% organic. The ingredients are mostly standard herbal tea fare – lemon peel, ginger root, peppermint, lemon balm, fennel, and some other seasonings, including turmeric. Turmeric seems to be the magic ingredient in anything purporting to be healthy right now. And also I can tell you this…

That stuff gets everywhere! It’s like dang pollen.
Anyway. Healthy, organic – all well and good. What does it taste like?
It tastes pretty good. You can taste pretty much all of the ingredients, and they get along pretty well together. The predominant flavors are lemon, peppermint, and ginger. It has a good amount of flavor – not too strong, not too light. All in all, I would get this tea again. My year of teas is off to a good start!

That does look tasty! I’ve been drinking gingerbread spice tea every evening. It’s my new favorite:)
