It’s that time of year – time to put regular crafting on hold and switch over to all Halloween all the time! One current project is a sweater started earlier this year, and I have also started a cross stitch project for the first time in many years.

The sweater is the Half Moon tee that I set aside a few months ago. I’m most of the way through the colorwork and will be separating out the sleeves pretty shortly. Still really like this sweater and hoping I can get it done by Halloween!
The other project is the Here Lyes the Body stitchalong, which I am doing along with Alissa of AlissaMakes. I haven’t done counted cross-stitch in decades, so I’m relearning somewhat.

The designer sent the pattern for the frame to complete in September, then in October we will get one little motif to do each day. I’m pretty excited for this – it should be cool! And it’s fun to do a different craft every once in a while.
How about you? What are you working on and how is it going?
Just have to tuck in ends and sew underarm seams. ________________________________

The sweater is going to be great. I love the color combination.
I’m not as sure about the creepy motif for the cross stitch, but I love the way it’s turning out! Stitching with a single color like that can be really striking when it’s designed well.

Thank you – I love how the sweater is turning out too! I have hopes for the cross stitch – it will be interesting to see how it turns out once the mysteries are revealed 🙂

Hurry! Get that awesome sweater done for Halloween – you know Alissa has hers done, ha! I like you color palette for the sweater. On my needles I am working on another hat for colder weather as well as another granny square blanket on the crochet hook 🙂

Hi, I would strongly recommend you iron the creases out of the cloth before you continue. I have a finished cross stitch that is framed with its creases as they wouldn’t iron out well because of the stitching. If yours is an all over piece it may be ok. But if there are spaces between the pattern its a bugger to deal with. Fun to see you working on a new craft. I am looking forward to the next few months of Halloween projects from you. 🎃
