I got most of the embellishment done on the three moon yarn squares I’ve done so far!
Mostly I just embroidered the full moon name and date on the moons and added a little extra fun. At first the wolf moon was just going to get the regular wolf patch sewn on. But then I saw the werewolf patch, and that seemed pretty necessary too 🙂 The snow moon might need a few more snowflakes, and I keep thinking the Lunar New Year square needs a little more pizzaz. I don’t want to add too much stuff because this will be a blanket, but a little something. Any thoughts? Throw them in the comments!
I have started on the next square which is for the Worm moon – that one will be getting some worm decorations, which should be fun. Maybe just a few little i-cord worms? Not sure yet.
I do also have a few WIPs in progress, but more about them later this week!
Quite A Yarn 
Fireworks? Once I used embroidery floss to sew a few exploding fireworks on a quilt.

These are so fun! Maybe a little horse for the year of the fire horse? Horse with flames coming off its hooves?

The embellishments are fun! I usually associate lunar new year with lion or dragon dancers, but that would be hard to picture in a small embellishment. Maybe a string of firecrackers?
