Finally some progress to report! I’ve really only been working on the 2 sweaters recently. I have a road trip coming up and my shark socks will be perfect for that trip, so those are on the back burner for right now.
She Makes Waves (aka the mermaid sweater) (Ravelry link) is swimming right along!

I decided to add a pattern band to the bottom of the sweater before the ribbing. There’s about an inch to go before I get to that point. I’m really happy with it so far. The fabric is so soft! And I like this pattern too.
Tonnach (Ravelry link) is coming along well too – It’s a little more fiddly than SMW, so progress is a little slower. I do like how it is turning out, though!

How about you? What are you working on and how is it going?
Is fiddly a knitting term? I like it! Love the mermaid sweater!

It’s my term for anything that annoys me because it needs attention to detail 😉

The first is my Penance Shawl, Black yarn (baby camel!) lace weight, seed beads, size 2 needles. Blue ribbon at State Fair.
2nd is my very first pair of socks, Wildflower pattern, size 4 needles. Red Ribbon at State Fair.
Then my Aran Sweater, cotton/silk blend yarn, size 4 needles. Blue Ribbon at State Fair. (That’s my daughter on the left.)
Just finished up my brioche scarf and am working on the cap that goes with it. size 7 needles feel like broomstick handles!
I’m WAY behind on my 12 months 12 projects challenge!

Your Tonnach is looking great! I’ve started mine, but I’m in ribbing hell at the moment, so progress isn’t much to look at yet. I’m really looking forward to when I get to the patterned colorwork part.
And the mermaid sweater is lovely! The pictures make it look like a very soft and comfy fabric, so I’m glad to hear that it’s like that in person, too.

That ribbing really does feel like it goes on forever! But soon you will break free and have some fun 🙂 Thank you! I really like it.

I’m 2/3 of the way there! I love the way the yarn I picked for the ribbing looks, but I’m really looking forward to moving on to the colorwork. 😉

The stripes are definitely the more fun part of this sweater!

The ribbing is important, though. I have to keep reminding myself of that. 😉

Yes, very true! It is definitely part of the look of the thing 🙂

I finished the ribbing over the weekend! I haven’t gotten very far into the color pattern yet, but it was a nice change to be able to move on to the next step.

These are both looking great! She Makes Waves is particularly stunning. You have such a talent for colourwork 😊
I’ve hardly made a stitch for weeks. I trust the urge will come back in time – I did start work on a small crochet project over the weekend so perhaps that’ll be the gateway.

Thank you! I appreciate that 🙂
It will definitely come back for you – you are so creative and have so much fun with your projects!

WIPs are looking WIPalicious (word not in the Oxford English Dictionary…yet)!
I am still working on the sunflower granny square blanket that I will post an update on in the future. It is portable to work on during road trips 🙂

Road trip projects are essential! Looking forward to seeing how your sunflower blanket is coming along. And thank you 🙂

I finished the cowl that uses a version of that wavy Tonnach stitch pattern. I love it!
Right now I’m knitting a circle to put in an embroidery hoop; I want to use it as a hanger to hold necklaces and earrings. Of course a plain circle would be boring to knit, so it has assigned pooling motifs on it. Open ring stitch markers to hold the necklaces. We’ll see if it works out like I imagine it!
