Project

Thursday ThWIPs

Two new projects on the needles this week! First is the Peggy Sue cardigan that I started pretty much the day I finished Melville. I’m using Cloudborn Sport, the old Craftsy Yarn it was designed for. It is knit in pieces and sewn together. Just getting started on the back at this point.

And the second project is just a vortex shaped shawl using a cool assigned pooling yarn and stitch!

Both the yarn and the stitch (Pineapple stitch) were created by the owner and dyer of Auridon Yarns. I also got her strawberry assigned pooling yarn and hope to be trying that out in the near future. This is a fun project so far, and I found myself continuing on for “just one more row” well after I should have gone to bed last night.

  1. Yeah, know the feeling…just one more row. OMG it’s 3 AM?!!
I start to work on it the next day and discovered that 6 rows ago, I messed up the pattern because it was 2:30 AM when I knitted them, and now I have to “unknit” the rows (which usually takes twice as long as knitting them) to fix the mistake. The need to get to a stopping point has bit me in the butt more than once.

      1. I love that there are projects for yarn that has small sections of a different color like that! I’ve seen a few different designers do patterns specifically for this kind of yarn, and they are all just so fun to do.
