Still plugging away at Melville! The body and neckline are done and there’s just a few more rows to do on the ribbing, then the sleeves. I am going to start one sleeve tomorrow and hopefully make good progress. They are plain stockinette with a little bit of texture here and there, so they should go pretty quickly. Don’t get me wrong – I like this sweater and am looking forward to wearing it. But it’s been slow going and I’m ready to move on to the next project!
What are you working on these days, and how is it going?
Oh the sleeeeeeeeves – at least there’s a bit of texture to keep your interest. The body looks incredible, you must be so impatient to wear it!

Thank you 🙂 I am impatient to wear it for sure. I have to keep talking myself down from making it a short sleeve and moving along 🙂

It’s an option… but possibly not one you’d be happy with long term!

That is very true!

Are you going to enter this in the state fair next year? Do they do that in Wisconsin? If so, you totally should! Beautiful work.

Aw – thank you! I don’t think they do have craft competitions in our fair. At least I couldn’t find any reference to it at all, and couldn’t find a craft building when we went to the fair last summer. I will just enjoy it for myself 🙂

Such a clever design, I’ve not knitted a stitch this week. I’ve been weaving a pair of shoelaces but made a mistake and having some issues now.

Thank you! You are so busy right now with your garden and all your other crafts! I can’t wait to see your shoelaces – that is so clever!

Melville is such a masterpiece! I think you should frame it when you are done!
