The birds and the squirrels have been pretty constant visitors this winter, and we’ve also seen two deer in our yarn on a somewhat regular basis over the past month or so too. But yesterday we had SEVEN deer in the yard!

This explains why I have needed to fill up the feeders every day!
Hope you are having a wonderful weekend as well 🙂
Oh beautiful! And snow too!

Wow, that’s a herd! You have a lot of snow! Most of ours is gone. Higher temps this week. Hoping snow is done for this year but you never know.

That definitely was a herd! Our snow will likely be gone in a few days too – it’s going to be in the 40s for the next few days. Hope you are done with snow too 🙂 We will likely have a few more snowfalls here this year. We shall see!

Is your weather a lot milder than Alaska? I don’t think you lived in the coldest part of Alaska.

Surprisingly, where we are is almost the same as Anchorage. You are right – we were definitely not in the coldest part of Alaska.

Oh deer!
So are they eating birdseed? I always think of them as nibbling whatever foliage they can get to, not seeds. But hungry is hungry!

They are eating some birdseed, but the mix I put out also has corn, so possibly that’s mostly what they are going for 🙂

I get to look out my window and see hummingbirds (also magical) and squirrels (less magical). Still, it’s nice to be able to invite nature into my space.

Yes, very true! Hummingbirds are so lovely! Squirrels are less so, but they can be so cute 🙂

Our squirrels are definitely cute, but more of a nuisance at the same time. 😉

Yes it definitely was! We don’t see them any more now that spring is springing – they can get much better forage in the woods and fields. But maybe they will be back next winter 🙂
