We have had a lot of extra visitors to the back yard recently, including two deer that visit almost daily!
They mainly eat seeds and corn off the ground, but will bonk their heads on the feeders to make more food fall on the ground 🙂 We knew they were coming around because there are a LOT of droppings back there, but in the last week or so they have been visiting in the afternoons. They are so lovely, and it is such a treat to watch them!
We also have quite a few squirrels who visit the feeders, including one who has figured out how to jump into a platform feeder we put out for the bigger birds.
We do also get a lot of birds but they are kind of hard to photograph, as they are fairly far away and pretty active. But hopefully I’ll get a decent picture soon!
It’s also hard to get a shot of both deer together, as they tend to graze on different areas of the lawn. However, I will keep trying!
Quite A Yarn 
I have started putting out a deer block in the winter to help their diets, and it may give them another place to congregate in your yard. I love how their coloring changes in the winter.

Oooo! That is a great idea! I will need to look for one. I haven’t seen enough of these guys in summer to know the difference. They are fuzzier than I expected – their fur is thicker than I think I’ve seen before. But that makes sense, of course.

Our feeder is on a deck a flight up so we don’t get deer there. I put corn on the ground but even though it’s close to their “path” through our yard, there weren’t any takers for several weeks. Your pictures are beautiful. Squirrels will be squirrels! Those do come up on our deck. Fearless!

Squirrels are so cute! I love watching the ones around here 🙂 We get a lot of birds, which I am very happy about as well. But the deer are so beautiful! We got 4 in the yard today!

There’s not much that’s more enchanting and uplifting than seeing wildlife visiting your yard. It always makes me happy. Your pictures are charming.
