Boy, these last few weeks have just flown by! I keep meaning to post on other topics, and time just slips by. But in any case, I am making some progress on my Powdermill cardigan.

First sleeve and collar – done! Second sleeve started, and stitches picked up to do the first button band. I’ve got about two weeks left in the year. Can I finish it? Your guess is as good as mine.
Are you rushing to finish gifts or, like me, meet some other self-imposed deadline? Do tell!
Woo! Look at that! My holiday knitting has fallen by the wayside as I try to finish a pair of socks for Bob.

We don’t exchange gifts here. The beloved husband bought an spiffy new iPhone for himself. He’s happy. I’m just hoping we get through the holidays without a cat getting sick. (You know they only get sick weekends and holidays!)

Here’s hoping for the gift of healthy cats for the holidays! What did you buy yourself for the holidays?

Gosh, nothing! I thought about an air fryer (yet again) but I get caught up in the “but where would I put it” thing.

Something will occur to you 🙂 I know. I thought about a air fryer, but I’ve been swept up in these new appliance things and then never used them. (Looking at you, Instapot!) So I’m passing on it.

You don’t use your instapot? I had a bread maker (wonderful bread, used less than 10 times), ice cream maker (again wonderful ice cream used less than 10 times) and I could go on. The air fryer seems to have a lot of interest as we are only two but it’s a big piece of equipment. I did buy a sous vide gizmo which I use a lot. Not big and easy to store and I love how it makes meats.

I did have a bread machine, which we used until it stopped working. We did also have an ice cream maker, which didn’t make the move with us. I think about getting a new one occasionally, but we live in the land of amazing dairy products, so I don’t know if it will happen. I have wondered about sous vide cookers. So you like yours?

Love it. I have the stick one so it doesn’t take up space. Meat is perfect and not dry especially good for chicken breasts and pork. Today I’m putting a steak in it, then I’ll sear it quickly afterward. Perfect!

Awesome! Good to hear a review from someone who has used one!

I’ve put off sewing ends in for a present so, even though I finished knitting weeks ago, I’m still in a mad rush to finish it for Christmas!

I always put on sewing in ends too 🙂 You can do this!
