Wednesday WIPs

Nothing new to report in WIPs, but both active projects are moving along!

For the Homage to the Granny Square, I finished my six medium popcorn v1 blocks (lower 6) and 1 of the 9 needed v2 medium popcorns.

My open weave shawl is progressing quickly too! The rows are getting longer, but it is still a pretty short repeat between vertical stripes and just doing the horizontal ones. I am enjoying it a lot!

How about you? How are your projects – crafty or otherwise – going?

  1. I really like the look of that open weave shawl! Though I don’t think I would use it in a triangular shawl shape. I wonder if I would be able to easily modify the pattern to be a rectangular stole instead?

And you know I adore the granny squares. πŸ˜‰

    1. LOL! I think it would be pretty easy to adapt it to a rectangular shape. It would just be a matter of starting all your vertical strips at the same time rather than starting them in steps. And then just using the same intervals to add in the horizontal strips. I will show the back of it next post so you can see more how it is put together.

      1. Good to know! Though of course, I was imagining keeping the pattern on the bias, so that I’d end up starting new strips and ending old ones way more frequently. (That just sounds like it would be more complicated though.)
