Our flowers and veggies are in full swing here, thanks to a good mix of sun and rain! We have added more flowers around the yard, and the previous owner did have some perennials planted at various places as well.

And the veggie garden is doing great as well. We’ve been getting a lot of broccoli and cucumbers out of it and peppers, and there are just tons of tomatoes just starting to ripen. I love tomatoes, and really most veggies, so this is pretty exciting for me. The onions and garlic and shallots seem to be doing well also, but it’s tough to tell at this point. I guess we will see!

So all in all, our first year of gardening here is going reasonably well! We are planning on adding two more boxes next year, and are thinking about the mix of plants we want to have.
If you are gardening this year, how’s it going?
I had excellent crops of peas, onions and garlic. The tomatoes are doing well, but have stopped setting fruit, now that it is too hot.

This must be so much better (from a gardening aspect) than Alaska! Growing your own vegetables is wonderful and I did that for years. Everbearing raspberries are also easy to grow.

Gardening is so much easier here for sure! I’m amazed at how well everything is growing 🙂 Fresh veggies are the best!

Lovely gardens. Mine could use a bit more rain.

Thank you! It’s a bit dry here as well right now, but we can water, so that makes up the difference.
