Our recent alternating rainy and sunny days have had a great effect on the garden! Our vegetables are all doing great so far, and we recently added some more flowers to the yard.

We’ve got banana, bell, and jalapeno peppers all growing away, and a huge amount of tomatoes getting ready to turn red! Also, our broccoli has been popping out florets at a pretty steady page. Not pictured but also doing well, our one cucumber plant is taking over it’s box, and the onions, garlic and shallots we planted throughout are doing great as well. The veggies are very exciting to me, because I had no luck with veggies at all in Alaska. The growing season is just too short. Carrots and potatoes do well there, but I wasn’t really in a position to grow those.
We also got some flower planted – not a lot, but enough to brighten up the yard.

Hopefully the weather keeps on helping us out and keeping our garden growing!
How is your garden doing this year?
My garden was progressing… but in the past week we’ve had 95+ degree weather, and today, 3 instances of hail. I’m afraid to look at my garden. π¦

Oh no! I hope it did OK even through all of that!

Iβm having a very low effort garden year. No tomatoes, no squash. Just whateverβs already growing out there.
My oldest blueberry bush, usually gonzo, doesnβt have a lot of berries this year. The bush next to it, a replacement for one that died several years ago, is heavily laden, but not ripe yet.
Iβve had six raspberries from the raspberry bushes; not much going on there, either.
But the hydrangeas! Oh my, theyβre coming into gloryβ¦

Glad our berry bushes are doing OK by and large. Hydrangeas are so beautiful!

So glad that you are enjoying growing vegetables. I agree, Wisconsin has just about the perfect climate for vegetables. The abundance of rain makes a huge difference.

I canβt remember if you have a bird bath in the garden, the tree stump could maybe have a bowl fixed to the top as a bird bath. Just a thought, itβs all looking great.

We do have a birdbath, but I am definitely open to another one or two. I’d like one that is lower down, and I have thought about putting one on the stump. I think it’s between that and a sundial.
