Despite being a busy week, I did manage to make some progress on my active WIPs.

My KDD Summer of Mystery Mystery KAL shawl is coming along! I’m almost halfway through the 1st clue. I like the way the colors are coming together so far, though looking at some of the other projects is giving me a little bit of FOMO. These aren’t my usual colors, and while I like them and think it is good that I’m outside my usual color box, I still have some reservations.

My Homage to the Granny Square crochet blanket is coming along as well! I finished all the small grannies, and now starting on the medium ones. There is still a lot to do on this class/project, but I have until the end of August, so I’m not feeling a lot of stress over it. I am enjoying trying out crochet! And although I am regretting one of my color choices at this time, overall I’m happy with how it is turning out!

Last but not least, my longest running active WIP, my gansey. I am 12 rows away from done with the back! Then I do have the sleeves and neck and so on, but I’m excited to be almost done with the body. I like the patterning, and pretty happy with how it is turning out.
What are you up to these days? How are your projects going?
Projects are moving like a snail. The beautiful Spring is creating a distraction and a want to garden. Your projects look beautiful.

I love granny squares! They are always so happy to me for some reason. (Probably all the color choices.) I just finished the Bind-Off-That-Took-Forever (aka three days worth of working on it) and I’m now focusing on smaller projects for a little bit. Though I do plan to cast on a new sweater soon-ish.

They definitely are happy! This project started with picking out a set of colors that adheres to some rules to keep it cohesive, but still have a lot of colors in there. 4 border colors, 5 interior colors, and 2 – 3 wild or pop colors. For each type of block, the designer/teacher tells us how many blocks to make using each color group. So I know it won’t get too crazy, while still being colorful π
That is a lot of binding off! I will have to look for your post! Smaller projects sound like a nice follow up to that π
