Project

Wednesday WIPs

I did a little bit of work on several projects this week – everything is moving along, even if a little bit slowly!

About 40 rows from done on the back of my gansey! I do still have the sleeves to do then, but at least the main part will be done. I’m looking forward to wearing it – next fall when it’s cold enough again.

My Jessica Jones/UFO Watch party cowl is pretty far along. And also I’m very tired of knitting linen stitch 🙂 I’m thinking of calling it good enough and using the rest of the skein for socks. The UFO watch party box did come with mini-skeins, so it would likely be enough for short socks. We shall see!

And finally, I started on my Homage to the Granny Square class with Sue Maton of The Mercerie. This is the very beginning of what will be a pretty big blanket when it is done. But it’s going pretty well so far! This is an interesting class. We started with some color theory, then went through some exercises to plan out the colors for our blankets. Now we get started crocheting! I’m glad we are starting slow, because I do not have a lot of crochet experience. This will be a good project for that as well.

I have also managed a row here or there with my Airplane scarf, but not enough to post a pic.

How about you? How are your projects going, crafty or otherwise?

  2. That’s a lot of linen stitch! I haven’t actually knit linen stitch before; it looks tedious.

I’m currently knitting an Emotional Support Chicken. After seeing so many in my IG feed, I had to do it. Franklin Habit is doing a chickalong on his Patreon, and that’s what gave me the push to actually knit it!

Also working on my brioche & assigned/algorithmic pooling shawl.

That is awesome! I have not fallen for the allure of the emotional support chicken yet, though it is tempting 🙂 Looking forward to seeing yours! And your new shawl as well 🙂
