Knitting News

I have some progress to report, but that will be tomorrow. Today I want to share some knitting news!

The next Rowan Connect online will be the 12th through the 14th of April. They have a pretty cool lineup of classes and events, some free and some paid. The link above will take you to the schedule page. I have enjoyed it the couple times I have participated, so thought I would share the joy 🙂 I’m signed up for some classes and events next month too – looking forward to them!

A 200+ year old Faroe Island sweater (or jumper, if you prefer) was found in the British National Archives! It was confiscated off of a ship that ran afoul of the British navy during the second Battle of Copenhagen. The sweater and an accompanying letter sat in the National Archives all of this time, and the parcel was just recently opened up. Also on the same ship were 49 thousand wool stockings! And some other stuff, but really, the knitting is the main thing. This news broke a week ago, so you may have already seen it. But still – very cool!

Have any crafting news to report? Do tell!

      1. I registered. So looking forward to finally learning Brioche. I have taken classes with Kate Atherley before and she is a wonderful instructor. My friend is trying to convince me to take the morning off, but the class starts at 11:30am EDT. I could go in for the morning, I guess, then return to the office when it is over. I am over-thinking, I know.
