Baking Experiment: Coffee Cake

It’s been a while since my last baking experiment! I was planning on lemon meringue pie, but had some ingredient issues. So instead, coffee cake!

I used this recipe from Preppy Kitchen, except I did not do the glaze. By and large, I’m not a glaze fan. It turned out pretty well! The cake is nice and moist, and there is plenty of cinnamon flavor in the center layer and the streusel topping. If you don’t like a lot of crumb topping, you could definitely cut down that part of the recipe. I do like lots of crumb though, so this is a winner! Fair warning though – the website has a lot of ads and pop-ups.

    1. That’s the thing about baking for sure! It’s mostly me and Mr. Quiteayarn as well, and most recipes make a lot. With my Mom here it’s a little more reasonable to bake. And when my brother and SIL are visiting there are a lot of people to get rid of it for me 🙂
