Ripon Library

After having lived in Ripon only 5 short months, I finally got around to getting to the library and getting my card!

The Ripon library is very near our cute little downtown, only about a mile and a half from the house. Close enough to walk when the weather is nicer! It is not a huge library, but does have a pretty good collection and lots going on. They have book clubs and craft clubs and show movies every couple of weeks and so on. They are also part of a network of smaller libraries in the nearby area, so when you search the collection, you are looking at all of the local libraries. The librarian we got our cards from told us they get deliveries and send out to the other libraries daily.

One thing I noted on their calendar for next weekend is a Cozies and Cookies event. I did not know that February is National Mystery Month, but apparently it is. They are kicking off the month with a cozy mystery event. I’m in!

We did a little looking around while we were there, and I brought home one book I was actually looking for and two random finds.

I meant to get the Art of the English Murder. The other two just sort of …happened. If you are a book person, you know what I mean.

I will be reporting back on how they are soon!

Have you randomly found any interesting books lately?

  1. I’m always browsing additions to the OK Virtual Library kindle books. Glad you are walking distance to your local library. When I was a girl growing up in Ohio, my library was two blocks away. I spent A Lot of time there.

    1. I spent a lot of time in my local library as well, though unfortunately it wasn’t close. My parents were very supportive of me reading as much as I liked, so we were there a lot. I’m excited to be this close!
