My gansey is moving along! I am a little way into the pattern section, which I am happy with so far. I did have to pause a bit to do some charting. The pattern sections are spread over about 3 different pages of the pattern, which made it hard to keep organized. Also, I did not like one of the pattern sections, so spent some time horsing around with the design to get something I did like. But now that I have all the pattern sections charted together on one page, the knitting is going much more quickly.
Also! I have an update from yesterday’s birds & beasties post. I happened to be briefly at around 1 am and looked outside. We had a deer at our feeders!
I know it looks all murky and cryptid-ish, but I watched it for a while and it was definitely a deer 🙂 So, theory confirmed!

I’m surprised at how quickly it’s going! I guess this is the benefit to going up a yarn size after a lot of fingering weight sweaters 🙂

That’s great sweater progress! I’ve been plugging along on my sweater also (a cabled cardigan) and hope to get to the place in the pattern where I add the pockets over the weekend. (And from there, on to sleeve island…)
