Slightly fancier mittens this week – making good progress on Mom’s Christmas mittens!
I’m a couple rows away from starting to decrease for the top! They are going pretty well – it’s a pretty pattern, though it does require paying attention pretty closely 🙂
Do you have a favorite style of mitten or glove to make or wear? Do tell!

Classic mitten with a large top cable. They knit up quickly and cozy warm.

Those are gorgeous!
I like knitting fingerless mitts, because they’re not fussy. I’ve never knit glove fingers! Mittens are supposed to be warmer, anyway.

Fingerless mitts are definitely the least fussy hand coverings! I’ve done gloves once or twice – they are super fussy!

Very pretty! I prefer plain gloves, though I’m thinking of knitting a pair of colorwork gloves because they will be warmer. I would also like to knit thrummed mittens. But I think colorwork mittens are the prettiest!

Ooh they’re even fancier than my selbu mittens! I love the bright colours against the background.
I prefer mittens for making and wearing – so I don’t have to knit all the fingers and so my fingers can keep each other warm.

These are super pretty! I love them!
Typically I knit fingerless mitts, because it’s often not cold enough where I am to need the full warmth and coverage. I tend to use mine most often while on the computer, and so I need my fingers able to type (and I don’t want to knit full gloves for computer use).
