DH’s office in our downstairs gets pretty cold in the mornings and evenings. When this happens, he comes upstairs and puts his cold hands on my neck or arm. After a month of this, I decided he needs some fingerless mitts.
These were very quick to make – I started them last Thursday or Friday. I didn’t use a pattern, just figured out how many stitches to make with measurements and gauge. The yarn is Cascade Highland Duo that I had leftover from a sweater project. It’s an alpaca and wool blend, and very toasty. He tried them on and they fit very well. So hopefully this will keep his hands, and consequently my neck, warm!
Cold hands, warm heart!

Good plan, but maybe you should buy him a space heater for Christmas. 🙂

Don’t you just hate those cold hands? When I crawl in bed I put my cold feet on my husband’s hot back. He’s not excited about that either! 🙂 Toeless sleep slippers?
