Manic Monday

My Back to the Fuchsia (Ravelry link) is done! Why is there no fuchsia, you may ask? In thinking about colors I wore a lot of in the 80’s, cyan was probably my favorite.

The pattern is Back to the Fuchsia by Cally Monster of Monsterknits. The yarn is KnitPick Palette in white, black, and cyan.

If you like hound’s tooth at all, I would recommend this pattern. It looks complicated, but the colorwork is all slip stitch, so really easy. The pattern is easy to memorize once you get into the groove. There is a bit of lace, but it is a very easy pattern. A great one if you are looking to start dabbling with lace a bit. Highly recommend!

If you were around in the 80’s, what were your colors of choice?

      1. Every time I see that color combo it has an era associated with it. I can’t think of any other color combination that does that for me. 🙂 I do love the way my hair turned out! Though because I’d never dyed my hair non-natural colors before, we used a temporary dye and it’s fading out already. I think I’m going to go with a more permanent one next time. 😀

  1. In the 80s I mostly wore a grey school uniform, dance clothes (as I did dance classes most nights and competitions at weekends) and by the late 80s I had a hideous brown waitress uniform to add to the mix. I had an extensive collection of leg warmers and catsuits though! I had a bright red coat I looked great in though…batwing of course.
