Wednesday WIP

So with all of this running around, going places and doing things, have I even been knitting? Yes, yes I have. Just the one thing this past 2 weeks, but I have been knitting.

This is my Supernova MKAL from Ambah O’Brien. I’m about halfway through clue 4. When it’s done, the unfinished “arm” of the shawl will look like the other one. Clue 5 is picking up all of the edge stitches (over 1,000 of them!!) and knitting a border onto it. I’m still not thrilled about all of the yellow, but I like the rest of it enough to be resigned to it. Also, I’m definitely not ripping back at this point!

I’m enjoying this knit – it’s an interesting design and it is helping me get quite a few minis and a whole skein out of my stash, so that’s a win as well 🙂 Hopefully within the next week or two I will be able to finish up with this beast and move on to a few other WIPs, plus I will be casting on a new Halloween sweater this weekend!

How are your WIPs, crafty or not, coming along!

  1. Cabled sweater is done. The lace shawl has to have some work done to it–tucking the ends in and resewing the border so it is more even. It kinda bunched at the ends so it has more ruffles than I’d like. The Fairisle sweater has LOTS of ends to tuck with 1/2 a sleeve to go. County Fair is August 2! Yikes! I’m entering all three projects in the county fair and then the State fair August 26. I’m anxious to see how it compares. As I recall, there were very few knitted projects at the fairs in past years.

    1. Very true! At the time when I picked it and then knit it, I saw it as the bridge between the pink/orange going on in the center with the greens and blues toward the edges. And I think it does still work that way. But there is a lot of it!
